The Northern Oregon Coast – THIS WORKSHOP HAS SOLD OUT!!!!!
July 20th & 21st 2013
This 2-day in the field workshop will cover some of the most beautiful locations along the Northern to Central Oregon coast.
We will be choosing the timing of our locations based on tides and last-minute judgements of weather forecasts to ensure attendees have the best chance to photograph these beautiful locations along the amazing Oregon coast.
Day One: The first day of the workshop will begin at Hug Point, a secluded beach composed of caves and a waterfall that pours directly onto the beach. From here we will move on to Cannon Beach where we will photograph the ever popular Haystack Rock. After breakfast we will visit other locations along this stretch of the coast including Ecola State Park and some lesser known areas high in the cliffs above the coast. Our sunset location will be based on conditions and will be determined the day of the workshop. We may also have time for some lunar photography before we wrap up the events for the night.
Day Two: Our second day of the workshop will begin in Pacific City and the sandstone cliffs of Cape Kiwanda. One of the best locations for photography along the central-northern coast, the opportunities are endless here. We will also be visiting a lesser known beach just outside Oceanside as well as some others in the are before returning to Cape Kiwanda once again for sunset.
The distance between Cannon Beach and Cape Kiwanda is 1.5 hours of travel time. Depending on the length of your stay at the coast you may choose to split your hotel stays in both cities, or choose one of the other as your “base of operations” for the weekend.
Please contact me to discuss your specific travel plans and any questions that you have surrounding the workshop, the areas we will be photographing & my suggestions for lodging. As with all of my workshops, an additional customized extension to the workshop can be arranged for you and your party, if scheduled in advance and can include any destination in Oregon or Washington state.
